curved spine
As I grew, the curve increased, causing the skeleton and internal organs of my torso to
slowly shift out of place. The hump you see on my back is actually my shoulder blade,
which was pushed up and out by my curving spine.
The spinal curve also caused my pelvis to shift from its normal level, horizontal
position.  Although my legs are of equal length, I walk with a limp because of my
unleveled pelvis.
Left untreated, the increasing spinal curvature would compress my chest cavity, thus
casing eventual heart and/or lung failure.
